Getting some fresh air as a family ... or on your own!

Geocaching - Very simply, it is a treasure hunt for children of all ages!
We have hidden 5 containers containing a note pad and pencil. The GPS coordinates of these containers are posted on the geocaching website. For free registration :-

Scavenger Hunt - a list of things to collect; the winner is the fastest, or the person with the best collection. Hunt in teams or as individuals. All you need is a pencil and a bag to put your treasures. Download the sheet from the website.

 Explorer trail
This consists of a series of posts with raised plaques for "rubbings" on them, showing the trees and wildlife to be searched for in the  woods. A map is provided to help the children find the posts. As well as spaces to do the rubbings (using a pencil or crayon), there are descriptions in the booklet about the animals and plants shown. This is an extension activity available. Download the sheets from the website.

Just go for a walk!  - The Nant Fawr Corridor featured in the 2010 's "Ramblers' Best Walks For Christmas And New Year. Use the maps on the website to design your route. For the more ambitious, pick up the public footpath up to Lisvane - you can even head for the pub!

Fancy getting involved in keeping this area the amenity it deserves to be? Look out for the work days!
