The recent poor weather meant that the planned painting of woodwork had to be postponed. However, the two hours on Sunday morning proved to be rain-free and a small working party (due to the Bank Holiday week-end) managed a productive session.
The undergrowth was cut back from around the saplings that had been planted by Lakeside Primary School.
The paths have been affected badly by the quantity of rain that has fallen this year and some maintenance was carried out.
Another group of volunteers took on the planting of some of the Grow Wild seeds we had received from Kew Gardens. The clearance of areas in the meadow to prepare the soil proved quite a challenge and, hopefully, this task can be completed over a few workdays in the near future.
