Workday, April 30th 2017

The forecast was rain so we were prepared; fortunately, they were wrong!
Fifteen volunteers turned up to undertake four tasks:
The muddy area around the seasonal pond (near the Explorer Trail post) was laid with alder matting to improve access.
The path maintenance continues. The edges of the path that runs through Rhydypenau Woods are being reclaimed and the drainage improved.

Cutting back is limited in the nesting season but a small area around one of the benches was cleared so that it could be used in comfort.
The wooden gates and entrance areas were painted with preservative - hopefully, they will last another few years yet.
