Work day March 26th 2017

Spring had arrived! Sixteen volunteers enjoyed the sunshine and got to work.
We were fortunate to have been given another 200 snake's head fritillary bulbs by Buglife (thank you again Michelle) to plant in Boggy meadow.

 When we arrived at the meadow we were delighted to find that the plants from a session earlier this year had already flowered. Success!

Another group headed to Rhydypenau meadow and worked on reclaiming some of the path from the meadow growth. others tackled some of the encroaching bramble.

We were also able to present three sixth formers from Cardiff  High school with their 30 hour volunteer community service certificate for their Welsh Baccalaureate.  Another four pupils from Y10 received their 10 hour service certificate. We have been delighted with their contribution and hope that they have also benefited from work with us.
