Llanishen High school 25th January 2017

Volunteers from the Friends (and our ranger,Kevin!) were joined by staff and 12 members of Llanishen High Ecogroup for a working afternoon.
We first tackled their orchard where we pruned and seeded around the trees with yellow rattle and native wild flower seeds. The rare Welsh fruit trees are thriving and we are looking forward to seeing them bloom this year.

We then cut back bracken and brambles in a neighbouring area. We discovered some of the trees planted for the Jubilee and hope that they may benefit from their release!

As usual, the pupils were a pleasure to work with; many thanks.
