We split into two groups as Kevin led his band of volunteers through the mud to cut back the trees in Top meadow. The other "gang" went to work cutting back the overgrowth ready for planting the orchards next month.
We were easy to spot in our fetching tabards (many thanks to Ivor for organising them and to Derek for posing so well) and I'm sure that people will recognise that there are people out there working to improve their area.
The final task of the morning was to meet for our mince pies, stollen, biscuits and mulled wine, and to thank Kevin for all the work he does on our behalf.
Have a happy Christmas and why not make a new resolution for 2016? - get out on some workdays and have some exercise, fresh air and a chat!
