Work day October 25th 2015

A perfect autumn day for a work session! 14 regulars were joined by 2 students from Cardiff University and 2 pupils completing voluntary work for their Welsh Baccalaureate. Once again there were a number of tasks to chose from:
One group set to clearing undergrowth from along the path near Rhydyblewin meadow. The plants have grown very well this year and many hours have been spent cutting back brambles etc.

The second group cleared drains that run underneath the path through Boggy Meadow in anticipation of the wetter weather.

The last group continued to dig areas on the reservoir side of Rhydyblewin meadow. The second batch of Grow Wild seeds from Kew Garden, plus seed heads from those that grew in the Summer, were scattered ready for next Spring.
A very successful and rewarding two hours work; thank you everyone.
