Work day, July 27th 2014

Glorious weather prevailed for the 18 workers!

14 sacks of rubbish were collected from the stream and paths next to Cardiff High School and Heol Esgyn (including a sledge!).

We also braved a battle against the brambles and nettles to find the apple and plum trees that had been planted a few years ago.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                     The wet Winter and sunny Summer has resulted in rapid growth of the plants and scythes, shears and boots were boot to good use.The orienteering course posts were also overgrown and needed clearing.

Finally, congratulations to Sam and Connor for completing their 12 hours for their Duke of Edinburgh Bronze and Silver Awards respectively.
