The Annual General Meeting 25 August 2021

We decided to try and hold a physical meeting with social distancing instead of a virtual meeting and our Secretary, Lesley Anne Baxter, kindly offered her garden.

We managed to gather together a quorum and were able to consider the usual reports.   Both the Chairman, Jane Williams and the Treasurer, Pat Bishop indicated their willingness to continue in post until the end of March 2022.

Kevin Date, our Council Ranger, outlined the work which was needed to attempt to catch up with the last few months where the numbers using the site have been very high and where there has been much heavy damage to paths in particular.

We also had a useful discussion about Cardiff Council's proposals to develop a "super cycle highway" through the site to link up with the housing developments in Lisvane and Pontprennau.  We intend to object strongly to these proposals and hope that members of the public, whether members of the Friends of Nant Fawr or not will also respond to the Council by the closing date on 31 October. (see https://cardiffatnm.commonplace.is)  if you do not wish to respond via the consultation portal, please contact your local Councillors and ask them to do so on your behalf.
