The Jungle Explorers

On a damp August Sunday our intrepid volunteers set forth in Rhydypenau Meadow to find the fruit tress which had been planted by Cardiff High School pupils in 2015 but which this year had been almost swallowed up by bracken.

It wasn't easy, Derek used his scythe, the rest of us had shears. The bracken was about five feet high, but fortunately the trees were taller and had survived.  We found apples on some of them and  several plums on the plum tree. Success!
