Workday, Sunday 28th January

Despite the drizzle, 18 people turned up at the Heol Esgyn entrance.
The main task today was to clear the bramble to the side of the path past the High School meadow. This will help to improve visibility at this point which can be a dark and isolated area. This bramble will need to be cleared further later on this year to improve access to the Himalayan Balsam, an invasive species which needs to be removed.
Another group tackled the large number of unwanted saplings that have taken root in the adjacent area.
We were delighted to present 3 more certificates for the completion of the 10 hours voluntary community service required for the Welsh Baccalaureate. This means that all 6 Y10 pupils have now reached their target this year. Thank you for your efforts!
