Work Day, October 29th 2017

Yet again, the sun was shining as 27 volunteers attended the work day. Numbers were swelled by the Welsh Baccalaureate pupils, one of the local Guides groups and students from Cardiff University; thank you all.
Two main tasks were undertaken. The younger element tackled the overgrowth in the area surrounding the notice board near the old reservoir car park. There are numerous daffodil bulbs and other wild flowers which may now emerge next Spring.
The "older" contingent tackled the trees adjacent to the slope down to the meadows. Coppicing these trees has opened out the area whilst allowing the growth to continue in a controlled way.
Thank you for all the hard work.
