Work Day, 25th June 2017

Sixteen volunteers turned up on this showery morning.
To support "Wales Nature Week" we carried out a survey on the trees in the Wood Covert area, an ancient woodland.
It was interesting to see that the end of June marks the shift from the flowers of Spring to the fruits of Summer. More than 20 species were identified.

The plant growth on either side of the paths has benefited from the warm weather and showers but it was necessary to cut back some of it to clear the walk way from Heol Esgyn to Llandennis Rd.
Thank you to all who worked hard (again!).
